Fitbit sits in a different place from a training watch. It is the device an athlete wears while they work, sleep and recover, which makes it a strong source for the numbers between sessions rather than during them.
Where it fits
Coachbox pulls daily metrics from one platform, so the numbers on your dashboard never contradict each other. That choice is separate from where the workouts come from. An athlete can record every session on a Garmin and still have Fitbit deliver steps, sleep and resting heart rate, because they wear the Fitbit the other twenty-two hours of the day.
Set it under Settings, Synchronisation, Metrics.
Workouts too
Activities recorded on the Fitbit itself come across as well, with the data the device captured. For most athletes that is the walk, the gym session or the easy run they did without strapping on the training watch, and it still counts towards the load you are tracking.
One direction only
Fitbit does not accept a structured workout from an outside platform, so nothing goes back the other way. Your athlete follows the planned session in the Coachbox app.
