TL;DR: Nolio publishes all of its prices in euro on its pricing page (Nolio pricing). Coach plans run from 19.90 EUR/month (3 athletes) to 39.90 EUR/month (30 athletes and 2 coaches included), club plans from 29.90 to 49.90 EUR/month, and athletes use Nolio for free, with an optional Premium upgrade at 6.90 EUR/month. Coach and club plans start with a one month free trial, no credit card required (Nolio pricing); Premium starts with 14 free days (Nolio terms). Costs to plan for are the per-athlete overage fees above the included count, 12 EUR/month per extra coach, and the transaction fees on marketplace sales and athlete subscriptions, which Nolio lists per plan. We did not find lactate testing on Nolio’s features page (Nolio features). Coachbox includes lactate testing in every coaching plan, which changes the value comparison for coaches who test.
Nolio Pricing Overview
Nolio is a French training platform; its terms name a registered office near Grenoble (Nolio terms) and its coach page calls the team “Grenoble-based” (Nolio for coaches). Every plan, limit and extra fee is on the pricing page, and the coach and club plans come with a one month trial with “no commitment, no credit card required” (Nolio pricing).
The pricing serves three audiences: coaches managing their own roster, clubs managing larger groups with several coaches, and athletes, who use Nolio for free or upgrade to Premium (Nolio pricing).
Nolio’s pricing page does not say whether its prices include VAT. Its help center says the monthly total you are charged and your invoice amounts are shown incl. tax (Nolio help: subscription and invoices), but not whether the listed plan prices already contain it. We quote Nolio’s prices exactly as listed and do not convert them.
Coach Plans
Nolio’s coach pricing follows athlete count, with hard caps on the two lower tiers and a per-athlete fee above the included count on the top tier (Nolio pricing).

On Coach Pro, each additional athlete costs 1.50 EUR/month up to 50 athletes, then 1 EUR/month. An additional coach costs 12 EUR/month (Nolio pricing).
What’s Included in Coach Plans
Nolio’s features page describes the core coaching workflow (Nolio features):
- Planned and completed calendars: two separate calendars for prescribed and executed training
- Structured workout builder: steps, targets, durations, repetitions, with endurance and strength steps in the same session
- Templates: reusable events, exercises and multi-day plans
- Device sync: Garmin, Polar, COROS, Suunto, Wahoo, Zwift, Strava and more, with structured workouts sent to the watch and completed workouts uploaded automatically
- Training load models: Foster, Coggan and TRIMP, usable side by side
- Debrief: RPE and feelings after every session, with customizable questions
- Messaging: a chat on every workout plus instant chat in the app
The plan comparison on the pricing page shows what changes per tier (Nolio pricing). Coach Starter keeps 6 months of planned history and shows limited athlete performance data. Coach Classic and Coach Pro add group monitoring, questionnaires, HRV of your athletes, athlete statistics comparison and unlimited planned history. Coach Pro adds advanced administration with assistant coaches and the lowest transaction fees of the coach plans.
Club Plans
Clubs get more athletes and coaches included, with a lower fee per extra athlete (Nolio pricing):

Club Starter includes 1 Premium athlete account, Club Classic includes 5. Nolio designs the club plans for associations and asks for a document proving the association exists (Nolio pricing). The pricing page shows French federations such as FFAthlétisme, FFCyclisme and FFAviron among the “federations and structures” Nolio works with (Nolio pricing). In our view, 0.50 EUR per extra athlete is a low rate for a large training group.
Athlete Plans
Athletes do not pay to be coached on Nolio. The free account includes automatic session sync, structured workouts, training analysis, progress statistics and access on web, iOS and Android (Nolio pricing).
The Premium account at 6.90 EUR/month adds self-coaching tools (Nolio pricing, Nolio Premium):

For coaches, the split works like this. Coach Classic, Coach Pro and both club plans list “HRV of your athletes” as a coach feature, and each includes 1 to 5 Premium accounts you allocate for free (Nolio pricing). Beyond those, you can pay for extra Premium athletes yourself: 3 EUR/month each on Coach Classic and 2 EUR/month on Coach Pro and the club plans, or the athlete pays for their own Premium (Nolio pricing).
What Nolio Really Costs: Two Scenarios
Published tier prices only tell part of the story once your roster outgrows the included counts. Both scenarios use Nolio’s listed prices, whose VAT basis Nolio does not state (Nolio pricing).
Scenario 1: A coach with 35 athletes. Coach Pro covers 30, so you pay for 5 extra at 1.50 EUR each: 39.90 + 7.50 = 47.40 EUR/month. That is about 19 percent above the base price.
Scenario 2: A club with 100 athletes and 4 coaches. Club Classic covers 80 athletes and 3 coaches. Add 20 athletes at 0.50 EUR and 1 coach at 12 EUR: 49.90 + 10 + 12 = 71.90 EUR/month.
Hidden Costs to Consider
Growing Past the Included Count
The per-athlete and per-coach fees are modest individually but grow with your practice. Coach Classic caps at 25 athletes and 1 coach (Nolio pricing). A coach who reaches that cap either moves to Coach Pro, which charges per athlete above 30, or stops taking on athletes. Model your growth before you commit.
Premium Athlete Features
If your method depends on athletes planning their own sessions, custom metrics or in-app HRV measurement, those sit on the Premium account (Nolio pricing). Coach Pro includes 5 Premium accounts. Giving 20 athletes Premium on Coach Pro means 15 extra accounts at 2 EUR/month each, or 30 EUR/month on top of the plan, if you pay for them (Nolio pricing).
Transaction Fees
Nolio handles athlete subscriptions and marketplace sales through Stripe (Nolio features, Nolio terms) and deducts service fees from each transaction (Nolio terms). The pricing page lists the rates per plan (Nolio pricing):

Nolio’s help center gives different club rates: 25% on marketplace sales and 1.6% on athlete subscriptions for both club plans, the same as Coach Pro (Nolio help: platform fees, in French). It also lists a fee of 1 EUR plus 10% on plans sold from your own coach page, whatever your plan, and Stripe’s own fees on every payment (same source). If you plan to bill athletes or sell plans through Nolio, ask Nolio which club rate applies and include these rates in your margin calculation.
Testing Tools
We did not find lactate testing or physiological test analysis on Nolio’s features page (Nolio features). Coaches who run lactate tests may need a separate tool next to Nolio (see Nolio Alternatives for options). Nolio’s zone templates let you set your own zone formulas (Nolio features), so you enter the results there yourself.
Is Nolio’s Pricing Good Value?
In our view, for coaches and clubs that want a complete planning and monitoring platform with published prices, yes. For comparison, TrainingPeaks lists its Coach Edition from $21.99 USD/month, billed monthly, with 4 basic athletes and 1 premium athlete, $54.99 USD/month for 5 or more basic athletes, extra premium athletes from $9/month, a $99 start-up fee it waives with a coupon code on the same page, and “additional taxes may apply” (TrainingPeaks coach pricing). The two use different currencies and athlete models, so compare them on your own roster.
The value question changes when your workflow includes structured lactate testing. Then Nolio’s subscription covers planning, monitoring and communication. We did not find lactate testing on Nolio’s features page (Nolio features), so the testing comes from another tool. The full picture is in our Nolio Review.

The free tests come once, at the start of your license. The extra-athlete fee counts active athletes only, meaning athletes with workouts planned in the future. Following other athletes’ data and reacting to their unplanned workouts is free.
Every plan includes the coaching platform: training planning, athlete communication, calendars, analytics, annual periodization, device sync, and Coachbox AI, which answers questions about your athletes and writes changes straight into the training plan. Coachbox also connects to ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants through MCP.
Coachbox Lactate Module (Standalone)
For labs and occasional testers who do not need a coaching platform, there is a standalone Lactate Module at 49 EUR/month billed yearly, excl. VAT, with test bundles of 50 tests for 250 EUR, 100 for 400 EUR or 250 for 750 EUR (Coachbox pricing).

The two entry prices are not on the same basis: Nolio does not state on its pricing page whether its price includes VAT (Nolio pricing), and Coachbox’s price excludes it. Check the amount at checkout for your country before you compare.
When Nolio’s Pricing Makes Sense
You coach a small roster. Coach Starter gives you 3 athletes for 19.90 EUR/month and Coach Classic 25 athletes for 29.90 EUR/month, as listed (Nolio pricing). A fixed price up to a hard cap is easy to budget.
You run a club or federation group. 80 athletes and 3 coaches for 49.90 EUR/month, with 0.50 EUR per extra athlete (Nolio pricing), fits the associations Nolio designs the club plans for.
You bill athletes through the platform. Automated athlete payments and the marketplace let you sell coaching and training plans inside Nolio (Nolio features). If that saves you administration, the published transaction fees can be worth it.
When Coachbox’s Pricing Makes More Sense

You work with several coaches. Every Coachbox plan includes unlimited coaches, so adding a colleague does not change your price. On Nolio, extra coaches cost 12 EUR/month each on Coach Pro and the club plans (Nolio pricing).
You want AI in the workflow. Coachbox AI answers questions about your athletes’ data and writes changes into the training plan, and the MCP connection works with ChatGPT and Claude. On Nolio’s features page we did not find a built-in assistant (Nolio features).
Your roster changes through the season. Coachbox counts only active athletes, those with workouts planned in the future, so athletes you only follow do not add to your bill.
Who Should Use Nolio
Use Nolio if you want a published, fixed monthly price for a small roster, you run a club or association with many athletes, or you want to sell training plans and automate athlete payments inside your coaching platform (Nolio pricing, Nolio features). Nolio also suits you if you want HRV measured in the app with a phone camera (Nolio Premium), or a Grenoble-based team (Nolio for coaches) and an interface in French or English (Nolio help: general settings), and if lactate testing is not part of your service.
Choose Coachbox if lactate testing or AI assistance belongs in your coaching workflow. One subscription covers planning and testing, and with free tests at the start and a published per-test price after that, testing scales with your practice.
Both platforms publish their prices and offer free trials, so the cheapest way to decide is to run both with a handful of athletes and see which one fits the work you actually do.
