Nolio Pricing 2026: Every Plan Explained (Coach, Club and Athlete)

Complete breakdown of Nolio pricing: coach plans from 19.90 EUR, club plans, the free athlete account and Premium. What you get and what it really costs.

TL;DR: Nolio publishes all of its pricing in EUR, and it is genuinely competitive. Coach plans run from EUR 19.90/month (3 athletes) to EUR 39.90/month (30 athletes included), club plans from EUR 29.90 to EUR 49.90/month, and athletes ride along for free with an optional EUR 6.90/month Premium upgrade. Every paid plan comes with a one month free trial, no credit card required. The catches are per-athlete overage fees, EUR 12/month per extra coach, and the fact that some athlete-side features live behind the separate Premium subscription. Nolio does not include physiological testing, an AI assistant, or an education platform at any price. Coachbox includes lactate testing in every coaching plan, which changes the value comparison for coaches who test.

Nolio Pricing Overview

Nolio, the French training platform built in Grenoble, takes a refreshingly open approach to pricing. Every plan, every limit and every overage fee is published on the website. No sales calls, no “contact us for pricing”, and a one month trial on every paid plan without entering a credit card.

The pricing is structured around three audiences: coaches managing a personal roster, clubs managing larger groups with multiple coaches, and athletes, who use Nolio for free or upgrade to Premium.

Coach Plans

Nolio’s coach pricing is built around athlete count, with hard caps on the two lower tiers and a per-athlete overage model on the top tier.

PlanMonthly PriceAthletesCoachesKey Extras
Coach StarterEUR 19.903 max1 maxPlanning, templates, structured workouts, support, free demo
Coach ClassicEUR 29.9025 max1 max1 Premium athlete included, unlimited planned history, priority support
Coach ProEUR 39.9030 included2 included5 Premium athletes included, reduced fees, advanced administration

The overage rules on Coach Pro matter once you grow: each additional athlete costs EUR 1.50/month up to 50 athletes, then EUR 1/month beyond that. An additional coach costs EUR 12/month. Coach Classic is marked as the most popular plan, which fits its position: 25 athletes covers most full-time individual coaches.

What’s Included in Coach Plans

All Nolio coach plans include the core coaching workflow:

  • Planned and completed calendars: Two separate calendars for prescribed and executed training
  • Structured workout builder: Steps, targets, durations, repetitions, with endurance and strength steps in the same session
  • Templates: Reusable plans, workouts and exercises
  • Device sync: Workouts pushed to Garmin, Polar, Suunto, COROS and Wahoo, activities imported automatically
  • Training load models: Foster, Coggan and TRIMP, usable side by side
  • Debrief system: RPE and sensations after every session, with customizable questions
  • Messaging: Per-workout comments plus instant messaging in the app

Higher tiers add Premium athlete accounts, administration features and reduced transaction fees on payment automation.

Club Plans

Clubs get more athletes and coaches per euro, with cheaper overage:

PlanMonthly PriceAthletesCoachesOverage
Club StarterEUR 29.9040 included2 includedEUR 0.50 per extra athlete, EUR 12 per extra coach
Club ClassicEUR 49.9080 included3 includedEUR 0.50 per extra athlete, EUR 12 per extra coach

Club Starter includes 1 Premium athlete account, Club Classic includes 5. For federations and large training groups, the EUR 0.50 per-athlete rate is one of the lowest in the market, and it shows in Nolio’s adoption by French sports federations.

Athlete Plans

Athletes never pay to be coached on Nolio. The free account includes automatic session sync, structured workouts, training analysis, progress statistics and access on web, iOS and Android.

The Premium upgrade at EUR 6.90/month adds self-coaching tools:

  • Planning your own workouts, questionnaires, cycles and notes
  • Workout templates
  • Custom metrics
  • HRV measurement and analysis
  • Access to your full personal records history
  • Customizable debrief
  • API access

This split matters for coaches. Features like HRV analysis and custom metrics sit on the athlete’s Premium account, not on your coach plan. Your plan includes between 1 and 5 Premium accounts to hand out; beyond that, athletes pay for their own or you cover it.

What Nolio Really Costs: Two Scenarios

Published tier prices only tell part of the story once your roster outgrows the included counts.

Scenario 1: A coach with 35 athletes. Coach Pro covers 30, so you pay for 5 extra at EUR 1.50 each: EUR 39.90 + EUR 7.50 = EUR 47.40/month, or about EUR 569/year. Still reasonable, but 20 percent above the sticker price.

Scenario 2: A club with 100 athletes and 4 coaches. Club Classic covers 80 athletes and 3 coaches. Add 20 athletes at EUR 0.50 and 1 coach at EUR 12: EUR 49.90 + EUR 10 + EUR 12 = EUR 71.90/month. For a structure of that size, that remains genuinely cheap.

Hidden Costs to Consider

Overage Creep

The per-athlete and per-coach fees are modest individually but grow with your practice. A solo coach hitting the 25-athlete cap on Classic faces a choice: upgrade to Pro and start paying overage at 31 athletes, or cap the roster. Model your growth before committing.

Premium Athlete Features

If your coaching methodology depends on HRV tracking or custom metrics across your whole roster, remember those are Premium athlete features. Equipping 20 athletes with Premium at EUR 6.90 each would cost more than the coach plan itself. In practice most coaches use the included Premium slots for their key athletes, but it is a real constraint to know about.

Transaction Fees

Nolio automates athlete payments and marketplace sales through Stripe, and takes transaction fees on both. The “reduced fees” perk only arrives on Coach Pro and the club plans. If you plan to bill your athletes through the platform, ask Nolio for the current fee percentages and include them in your margin calculation.

No Testing, No AI, at Any Price

Nolio has no physiological testing module, no lactate analysis and no AI assistant. Coaches who test athletes need a separate tool (see Nolio Alternatives for options), with its own subscription and no integration back into Nolio’s zones.

Is Nolio’s Pricing Good Value?

For its target audience, clearly yes. French-speaking coaches and clubs get a complete, modern coaching platform at prices well below TrainingPeaks’ coach edition, with honest limits and a real free trial. The club pricing in particular undercuts most of the market.

The value question changes when your workflow includes structured testing, multilingual athlete communication, or education. Then Nolio’s low subscription price buys you part of your stack, and the rest comes from additional tools. The full picture is in our Nolio Review.

How Coachbox Pricing Compares

Coachbox takes a different approach: plan tiers with lactate testing included, transparent EUR pricing, and a single platform covering planning, communication, testing and zone management.

Coachbox Coach Plans

BuildEUR 24.95/monthUnlimited
PeakEUR 39.95/monthUnlimited, plus custom branding and API
SummitEUR 69.95/monthUnlimited, plus multiple coaches

Every coaching plan comes with a set of free lactate tests when you join, with the number depending on the plan you choose. After that, tests are priced per test.

All plans include the complete coaching platform: training planning, athlete communication, calendars, analytics, annual periodization, device sync for Garmin, Wahoo, Polar, Suunto, COROS, Fitbit, and TomTom, zone management that auto-updates from test results, and Coachbox AI, an assistant you can chat with about your athletes’ data.

Coachbox Lactate Module (Standalone)

For labs, sports medicine clinics, or coaches who want testing without a full coaching subscription, there’s a standalone Lactate Module. This includes a monthly subscription plus test bundles (50, 100, or 250 tests), designed for practitioners whose primary service is physiological testing rather than daily coaching.

When Nolio’s Pricing Makes Sense

You coach a small roster on a budget. At EUR 19.90/month for 3 athletes or EUR 29.90 for 25, Nolio prices fairly, though Coachbox’s Base plan starts lower at EUR 12.95/month for up to 5 athletes. Where Nolio’s budget case is strongest is the club tier, not the individual coach.

You run a club or federation group. The club plans are the standout: 80 athletes and 3 coaches for EUR 49.90/month, with EUR 0.50 overage, is pricing designed for the associative sports structures Nolio grew up with.

You bill athletes through the platform. Payment automation and the marketplace turn Nolio into a small business backend. If you sell training plans or automate monthly coaching fees, the transaction fees can be worth the saved administration.

When Coachbox’s Pricing Makes More Sense

You test your athletes. Lactate testing is built into every Coachbox coaching plan, with a set of free tests included when you join, per-test pricing after that, and automatic LT1/LT2 detection and zone updates. Adding a separate testing tool next to Nolio costs more and integrates less. See the full comparison in Coachbox vs Nolio.

You coach Dutch-speaking athletes. Nolio runs in French and English. Coachbox is localized in seven languages (English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese), which matters for coaches in Belgium and the Netherlands whose athletes live in the app every day.

You want AI in the workflow. Coachbox AI answers questions about your athletes’ data directly in the platform. Nolio offers nothing comparable at any tier.

You want testing, coaching and education in one subscription. If you would otherwise combine Nolio with a testing tool and a course platform, a single Coachbox plan likely reduces total spend and removes the glue work between tools.

Making Your Decision

Choose Nolio if you want a well-priced, transparent coaching or club platform, your athletes speak French or English, and physiological testing is not part of your service. The pricing is honest and the club model is one of the best deals in endurance coaching software.

Choose Coachbox if testing, multilingual support or AI assistance belong in your coaching workflow. The subscription covers what would otherwise take two or three tools, and with free tests to start and per-test pricing after that, testing scales with your practice instead of requiring separate software.

Both platforms publish their prices and offer free trials, so the cheapest way to decide is to run both for a month with a handful of athletes and see which one fits the work you actually do.
